Founder Profile

Brent Langevin

Founder, Caffevolve Inc.

Brent Langevin brings over three decades of strategic, analytical, and entrepreneurial experience to Caffevolve — including direct experience operating a retail coffee business, a prior company built and successfully sold to a Big Four professional services firm, and a career spent translating complex operational challenges into practical, adoptable systems for large organizations.

A Founder Who Has Already Built and Sold a Company

In 1997, Brent founded Provider Transition Strategies, LLC, developing a progressive performance assessment and compensation system for physicians affiliated with academic medical centers. The system was successfully implemented system-wide at Duke University Medical Center, across its 700+ multi-specialty physician practice, and the methodology was presented at national Academic Medical System and MGMA conferences. In 1999, the company was acquired by Deloitte & Touche’s Management Solutions Group — where Brent went on to lead the introduction of the system to Deloitte’s national partner group and client base as a Senior Manager. This track record — building a novel methodology, proving it at scale inside a major institution, and carrying it through a successful acquisition — is the same pattern of disciplined execution behind Caffevolve’s IP strategy and platform architecture today.

Direct Experience in the Coffee Industry

From 2002 to 2013, Brent founded and led FBO Community Partners, LLC, a multi-faceted holding company in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Alongside two real estate development projects and a mortgage origination operation, the company operated a retail coffee business — giving Brent firsthand, operational experience in the category Caffevolve is built to serve. During this period, Brent also founded and led two 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, reflecting a sustained commitment to mission-driven leadership alongside commercial enterprise.

Decades of Strategic and Analytical Leadership

Earlier in his career, Brent held senior project management and strategy roles at West Hudson & Company and Duke University Health System, where he led performance improvement projects and cost/benefit and feasibility studies for health systems and academic medical centers nationally — engaging stakeholders from front-line managers to the C-suite. This foundation in rigorous, data-driven strategic analysis directly informs the discipline behind Caffevolve’s technical documentation, patent strategy, and platform design.

Business Development and Executive Relationship Building

From 2013 to 2016, as Director of Business Development for East Coast Accounts at HCTEC (formerly HIMS Consulting Group), Brent led account development and executive-level client relationships with dozens of East Coast healthcare systems as they implemented new EMR systems. This experience building and sustaining relationships at the C-suite level is directly applicable to Caffevolve’s core licensing strategy of building relationships with premium appliance manufacturers and specialty coffee brands.

Building Caffevolve

Since founding Caffevolve, Brent has single-handedly designed and documented the platform’s complete architecture, developed and filed patent-pending intellectual property, built and audited a 150+ screen interactive UX prototype, and produced the full body of technical and investor documentation supporting the company today — without outside capital. Caffevolve represents the convergence of Brent’s direct coffee industry experience, his track record of building and successfully exiting a prior company, and decades of translating complex systems into practical, adoptable solutions.
